Containerization and palletization

Containerization is storing the goods for transportation in a systematic way using the standard laid down by the International Standardization Organization (ISO). In other words, it is a system of intermodal freight transport using standard inter modal containers as prescribed by ISO. Less-than-container load (LCL) refers to addressing a shipment which does not fill a standard cargo container and broad-spectrum palletization (includes less than wagon / truck load).

Palletization refers to gathering and securing of individual goods on a given platform, storing, and transporting goods stacked on pallets, and moved then as a unit load. It improves cycle times, reduce - time & cost of labour in setting up, and permit standardized methods of dealing loads with common mechanical tools like fork-lift trucks.
